Youpin Picooc Fat Scale Review Report

Codoon's review room launched a review event for the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale. Since starting anaerobic exercise in May, my body fat has changed, so I submitted a review application as required and was lucky to be selected. On August 6th, I received the package sent by Codoon. To be precise, the packaging of the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale is very exquisite. From the outside to the inside, from thick to thin, there are a total of four layers. As you unbox each layer, you can feel the delicacy of the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale. Peeling off the innermost plastic film wrapped around the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale reveals its true form. The craftsmanship is exquisite, with no peculiar smell. The four support points have some interaction range, allowing the fat scale to be placed more evenly on the ground. The front of the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale is made of glass, symmetrically placed with four metal load cells. The numbers displayed during use are three sets of red digits. Since it is a fat scale, complete data needs to be displayed on a mobile app connected via Bluetooth. The real-time weight display mainly lets the user know if a single measurement is completed.
 


II. Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale APP Testing Section:


For fat scales, there is no relative concept, so I went online to learn more and obtained the following knowledge structure:

Research found that when a certain frequency of electrical signal passes through the human body, the 'impedance' value of fat is higher than that of muscle and other tissues. Using a safe specific frequency electrical signal through the human body, the electrical signal changes to varying degrees due to different 'impedance' values of the human body.


Principle: Muscles contain more blood and other fluids, which can conduct electricity, while fat does not conduct electricity. Since the conductor for the current in the body is muscle, the difficulty of current passing through can indicate the weight of the muscle. Thus, it can be judged that people with less muscle have a higher proportion of fat in their body weight.


An electronic fat scale uses the above principle. By using the electrode pads on the surface of the scale to contact the user's legs and passing a certain safe current, it measures the body's resistance (bio-impedance). Based on the user's input data and the measured body resistance, using formulas obtained from extensive experiments, it can accurately measure the body's fat percentage, water percentage, muscle percentage, bone weight, and other body components.


Scan the code to install the iOS version of the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale APP. After connecting the device via Bluetooth, stand on the fat scale. The red numbers on the glass panel keep jumping and finally stop to get the final total weight. Using the app, you can view and get appropriate evaluations for each item. The initial measurement data was quite good, boosting my confidence.
 

 




Additionally, the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale APP provides measurement reports and suggestions and can synchronize data with the iOS system and wearable devices. Once you have good exercise habits and knowledge, you can combine the data changes from the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale APP with the data from wearable devices to evaluate the effectiveness of each exercise, especially the effectiveness of aerobic exercise.
 



 

Different exercise methods were used to test the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale. First, I did anaerobic exercise for an hour and a half, using upper body training at the gym. Comparing the data, the overall change was not significant, but it could measure slight changes in muscle mass.


Similarly, an aerobic exercise test was conducted, which was a half marathon lasting 1 hour and 57 minutes. I deliberately controlled water intake during the exercise, only drinking one bottle of Pulse. The data before and after the exercise showed a significant difference, with a total weight loss of 4 pounds and a 1% change in fat mass.


Of course, single data points do not mean much, which is why I did not rush to publish the review report after getting the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale. As a fitness enthusiast, I understand the importance of data and data accumulation. After accumulating 5 days of data, using the trend and analysis functions of the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale APP, I could clearly see the changes in body fat over a week. Comparing exercise methods and intensity, as well as dietary intake, the overall evaluation was quite accurate.


In the past week, my exercise pattern was switching from anaerobic equipment exercise to aerobic exercise, with 1 anaerobic session, a day of rest in between, one instance of binge eating barbecue at midnight, and two consecutive days of intense aerobic exercise. The trend chart on the Youpin PICOOC Fat Scale showed an increase in fat and a decrease in muscle, which was accurate.

If paired with wearable devices and the iOS system health management functions, after accumulating considerable data, you can clearly understand your body and scientifically adjust your exercise composition and intensity based on the data results to achieve better exercise effectiveness.
