fat little boys sport weight loss journal

The body is the most honest mirror to oneself. The joy of exercise radiates from the inside out. When you notice changes in your body, you realize, oh, working out is so meaningful. Because of exercise, I've gained many experiences and differences. I believe this is the most valuable wealth in life. Get moving, start a different you, and persist to achieve the changes you desire.

What is running?

Before I started running, I simply thought it wasn't something I should do.

But how did a person who never liked to move suddenly start running? I used to be so overweight that even I couldn't stand looking at myself. You can imagine how fat I was. To avoid being fat, change is the only way. Changing a lifestyle habit is actually very difficult because you will encounter many problems you've never faced before, and each problem requires a solution.

Although I was fat, I still liked to follow sports news. By chance, I saw a news story about running. It was about someone running a marathon every day for a hundred days without interruption. I found it unbelievable. Then I took out my phone and Googled 'marathon' to find out the distance—42.195KM. I was stunned and thought, this guy definitely can't finish it. But reality gave me a harsh slap. I thought, if others can challenge running 100 marathons in 100 days, can't I at least run? Even ten kilometers would be good.

After having the idea of running, I started to learn about running. In this internet age, you can always find what you want if you look for it.

For a fat person, starting to run right away feels impossible. But who can you blame? Being fat is an undeniable fact, so start by walking!

There is a mountain near my home, so instead of walking on the flat road, I chose the harder path. On the first day, halfway up, I wanted to give up. I silently told myself, 'Either persist to the top or stay fat.' When I reached the top, the sense of accomplishment made me feel not tired at all.

So, I walked to the top of the mountain every day.

A month later, I seemed to have lost some weight, and I was secretly pleased. My belly started to flatten, and even the fat around my knees seemed to change. Indeed, 'Every step you take won't deceive you, and every drop of sweat won't let you down.'

Although still fat, gradually, I evolved from walking to running.

While running, whenever the cool breeze hits my skin, even if I'm upset, it washes everything away.

And because I had a month of walking as a foundation, running didn't feel very tiring.

The most direct change for a fat person running is weight. When a nearly 180-pound 'fat person' sticks to exercise and slims down to 146 pounds, can you imagine his feelings? I am that fat person, and my feelings were like the song says, 'like riding a jet plane.'

For someone who couldn't even complete a lap around the track before, now casually running a half marathon is truly amazing. Although my speed is still slow, it doesn't matter to me. I don't want to chase speed blindly. I prefer the process. As long as I run comfortably and happily, that's enough.

Actually, I also doubted whether running could help me lose weight and whether I could stick to it. But when the results were in front of me, all doubts vanished. When what you do becomes part of your life, you will love it, and you will love the running version of yourself.

Some say 'running is lonely,' and they're right. Because while running, you can only hear the wind and your own breathing. But in fact, you are not alone, because the chirping birds, fragrant flowers, and gentle breeze are always with you.

Nowadays, running has become a trend, but many people ignore the science of running, leading to constant injuries. I once lost weight through running, and I believe you can too. As someone who has run all the way, I hope you can start slowly and persist scientifically. Running is a dialogue with yourself. Treat your body well, and only then can you run longer and farther.
