Compressport Compression Shorts Review Report

When it comes to COMPRESSPORT, many runners are likely familiar with it, especially its compression gear, which has a stellar reputation. This time, thanks to sponsorship from Codoon, I had the opportunity to review COMPRESSPORT's long compression pants.

Familiarity aside, let's revisit the brand introduction. COMPRESSPORT is a cycling gear brand from Switzerland. Its products use professional technology to apply pressure to muscles and veins, effectively enhancing athletic performance and aiding post-exercise recovery. Made with 100% European yarns and dyes, they are breathable, lightweight, and hypoallergenic. Currently, they are widely used in running, trail running, swimming, triathlons, daily training, competition, and recovery. They are also suitable for people who feel leg fatigue from prolonged standing or sitting. The professional technology applies pressure to muscles and veins, reducing muscle overload during exercise, activating blood flow, increasing oxygen levels in the blood, and reducing the effort needed for blood to return from the toes to the heart, thereby enhancing athletic performance and aiding recovery. The compression wear series is favored by many outdoor enthusiasts for its unique design concept, powerful functionality, and stylish appearance. Let's take a closer look at the impressive technology of COMPRESSPORT.

Honestly, I'm indifferent to these introductions. Looking around, numerous sports brands are emerging, and merchants are putting a lot of effort into promoting their core technologies. However, many of these claims are exaggerated, and users do not experience the so-called impressive technology. Now, you can follow me to explore whether this product lives up to its claims. Let's start with some unboxing photos.

At first glance, I fell in love with the actual product. The cool exterior design is simple and elegant, with a soft and delicate touch. It's thin, seamlessly woven, and fits perfectly to the body's curves without any sense of restraint. How can I describe this feeling? Yes, it's like wearing a pair of 120D velvet stockings. Girls understand this feeling, and boys who don't can secretly try their girlfriend's stockings to find out. Remember, it should be the thicker kind, at least 120D. The waist has a layer of soft silicone, and you don't feel any slipping while walking. It seems that the 3D silicone anti-slip technology lives up to its name. While I liked it, I couldn't help but worry if such a thin pair could withstand the cold in the mountains.

To test this, I chose to wear these pants during the 50KM Ninghai Trail Race on March 5th. The course passes through bamboo forests and narrow mountain paths, with the extremely steep Mozhu Peak being the most challenging part of the race. The race offers stunning natural scenery and a strong trail running vibe. Such a moderately difficult course is perfect for testing the effectiveness of compression pants. On March 4th, Ninghai was sunny, with temperatures soaring to around 17-18 degrees Celsius. In the evening, it started to drizzle, and the rain intensified overnight. By the morning of the 5th, it had turned to showers, and the weather was quite cold. I had to wear a windbreaker for warmth, but my lower body felt fine, thanks to COMPRESSPORT's unique flow-knit technology that ensures smooth air circulation and perfect temperature balance. When the external temperature drops, the flow-knit forms an air protection layer to prevent body temperature from dropping. I couldn't help but praise these compression pants and looked forward to more surprises from them. Around 5 a.m., everyone gradually arrived at Xinghai Elementary School, warming up, taking photos, and waiting for the 6 a.m. start. Here's a pre-race photo.

After the start, there was a long uphill mountain road. The rain gradually stopped, and after 5km, the route alternated between uphills and downhills. The experts began to fly, jumping and running freely on the mountain paths, like musical notes composing their own mountain songs. As the body warmed up, everyone took off their windbreakers or wore short sleeves or skin suits, creating a colorful scene. Along the way, there were streams, small bridges, mountain breezes, and mist, making the journey light and delightful. After a short rest at the checkpoint, we continued the journey. After running less than 2km, there was a small downhill road, and I sprinted 3km at a pace of 5:00, feeling the mountain wind whistling past my ears and weaving through the mist. This segment was truly indescribable. After running 20KM, my legs felt no fatigue, thanks to COMPRESSPORT's powerful progressive compression technology that promotes blood flow, increases oxygen supply, and enhances athletic performance.

At the 24km mark, I reached the base of Despair Slope (Mozhu Peak). Looking up, the endless long slope disappeared into the mist, connecting with the sky, making one feel hopeless. Climbing has always been my weakness due to lack of training and insufficient core strength. Every step felt powerless. This peak, with an altitude of over 800 meters and a short distance of three to four kilometers, took me nearly two hours to reach the top. Lactic acid quickly accumulated during the climb and decomposed just as quickly during the descent. I believe this is thanks to COMPRESSPORT's compression technology, which promotes lactic acid decomposition and reduces accumulation, absorbing unnecessary muscle vibrations. Additionally, the pants' quick-drying effect was particularly strong throughout the process. Even with occasional rain, there was no feeling of dampness, ensuring long-lasting freshness during intense and prolonged exercise.

I always wondered why these pants were more expensive than similar trail running gear. After this experience, I am thoroughly convinced. They truly achieve moisture-wicking and quick-drying while compressing muscles and enhancing athletic performance. There are also other detailed designs, such as special pressure at the thigh opening for comfort and stability without sliding, and a black mesh waistband for small accessories. In summary, these COMPRESSPORT compression pants are worth every penny compared to all other compression pants on the market.
