My memory of the famous domestic sports brand Xtep's racing 160 running shoes can be traced back to the Zhengkai Marathon in March 2016. Interestingly, during the Zhengkai race, I finished with a time of 4:30 without any break-in and injury. Before this, I had never dared to run a marathon with a pair of shoes without breaking them in. After that, I successfully completed more than 10 full marathons wearing these shoes, including the back-to-back races of the Shenzhen Dapeng Marathon and the Xiamen Marathon in 2017, also without any break-in.

The race started at 8 AM with a temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius, featuring 7 kilometers of uphill roads and continuous zigzag paths, full of trail running flavor, making it extremely challenging! Thus, I completed a total of 5 tests of about 100 kilometers with these running shoes. Through the Taishan Marathon, the strength of these 160 running shoes is evident, and they have now become my go-to running shoes.
Today, I am reviewing the 2017 limited upgraded version of the Racing 160. The appearance and performance have been improved compared to the 2016 version.
However, the core technology is basically the same. Based on my actual usage experience of over 800 kilometers with the Racing 160 running shoes, I am very happy to share this professional domestic racing running shoe with everyone. Therefore, this review is different from previous reviews, mainly analyzing the pros and cons to make it clear at a glance!

Advantages of the Racing 160 running shoes:
1. The dazzling style, with a limited edition tongue print and city patterns around the heel, is highly collectible. The sole is also colorful.
2. The shoe is named Racing 160 because each shoe weighs only 160 grams. Generally, running shoes weigh over 200 grams. Such a lightweight design allows you to feel the magic of the 160 running shoes as the running distance increases, saving energy and feeling light as ever!
3. Compared to the 2016 old version, it has added a TPU anti-collision toe cap and a stronger TPU heel support design. More importantly, the heel has added a reflective pull tab and reflective material design, increasing the functionality and safety of night running. The new version is more colorful and more resistant to dirt, making it easier to clean than the old version.
4. The shoe body is extremely light and thin, and the inside is very sweat-absorbent. The sole features Xtep's unique Dynamic Nest lightweight shock absorption technology, balancing speed and cushioning. When running, your feet stay dry and comfortable for a long time.
5. The thin sole material is very suitable for runners who use midfoot and forefoot running techniques, helping to improve race performance.

Disadvantages of the Racing 160 running shoes:
1. Objectively speaking, the lifespan of these shoes is about 300 kilometers, which is relatively short. However, this is a drawback of lightweight racing running shoes and is on par with the average lifespan of racing running shoes.
2. The shoe styles are relatively limited. From the 2016 version to the 2017 marathon limited edition, there are basically two colors for men and women, with one common style.
3. Durability. This may be a common problem with racing running shoes. Basically, the lifespan of these running shoes is around 300 kilometers.
In summary, the Racing 160 running shoes, as the king of cost-performance among racing running shoes, have made me fall in love with them! Most of my marathon finishes with these shoes are within 4 hours. I recommend fellow runners to give them a try! These running shoes give me an extraordinary feeling! Smile!
