kailas 9a rock climbing quick dry pants experience

In 2015, while trekking across the Aotai Line, there was a team member wearing an old model of the 9A pants. My first impression was that they were much more fitted than traditional quick-dry pants. They looked very stylish, and since then, I remembered 9A. I was fortunate to get the opportunity to experience the 9A climbing pants from Codoon. As an outdoor enthusiast with ten years of experience, who also runs and climbs, I am very satisfied with these pants. Without further ado, I put on the 9A and started training.

After work, I got home and grabbed the pants. Since I was about to go for a run, I put them on directly.
Warm-up exercises are more necessary as you get older.
Because I have loved sports since I was young, my muscles are relatively developed, and my thighs are quite thick. The fabric is elastic, allowing for free movement. Even large movements like splits are handled easily by the pants, without worrying about tearing.

It's already summer in Sichuan. Running by the river in long pants isn't as cool as shorts, but the advantage is that the chances of getting bitten by mosquitoes are greatly reduced.

The 9A pants use WICKDRY quick-dry fabric technology developed by Toray Industries, effectively solving the problem of sweat in outdoor activities. The special physical structure of the fibers allows sweat to be drawn away from the skin and transmitted to the fabric surface for rapid evaporation, regulating body temperature and creating a thermal effect, keeping the skin dry and comfortable.

Although the fabric is excellent, in the hot summer, the quick-dry speed of the fabric is far less than the sweating speed of the human body. After running ten kilometers, there is still a feeling of wetness, but it dries quickly during stretching exercises.

Next, let's look at the details of the 9A pants.

The entire pants have only two pockets, which can easily fit a Huawei P9 phone.

High softness and strong elasticity allow unrestricted movement of the hips. The soft and comfortable fabric with tension, combined with diamond-shaped crotch design and three-dimensional cutting technology, truly releases the legs' energy and vitality, making high-altitude climbing possible.

The 'Qi' logo of the Kailas climbing series on the outside of the left pant leg has a very Chinese flavor.

From the details, the pants exude a personality that is both challenging and charming.

The special physical structure of the fibers allows sweat to be drawn away from the skin and transmitted to the fabric surface for rapid evaporation, regulating body temperature and creating a thermal effect, keeping the skin dry and comfortable.

The full-waist comfortable adjustable elastic band, combined with the front middle waist magic tape, and the hidden internal button provide double security.
I really love the design of the waist elastic band. It avoids the drawback of traditional quick-dry pants slipping down without a belt and provides excellent waist fit and skin-friendly feel.

The adjustable hidden button design at the pant cuffs allows the cuffs to be folded and fixed, ensuring an unobstructed view while climbing.

I haven't gone climbing for over a month due to an injury, but I still do strength training regularly.

After folding the pant cuffs, they become nine-point pants, which can also be worn in summer, offering a two-in-one wearing method.

Simulating bouldering training.

Single-arm hanging strength training.

Summary:

1. Reasonable cutting, multiple color choices, and good breathability make them suitable as quick-dry hiking pants. For someone living in the city like me, the 9A pants meet all my outdoor pants needs.
2. From online information, I learned that 9A offers a variety of colors, from dark to bright, meeting the needs of different groups. The dark colors can also be used for daily urban life. Although they are called climbing pants, they can also be used for running and various outdoor activities, making them versatile.

If I had to make a suggestion, I think adding a zippered pocket would make them perfect for daily wear or hiking, allowing for the storage of phones and change.
