Today at noon, just as I was about to have lunch, the results of the Yangzhou Half Marathon lottery were announced. It ruined my appetite for my braised beef noodles, as I was busy checking your screenshots.

It was like an atomic bomb explosion, immediately flooding my social media feed, and all the running groups were buzzing. Of course, most of the reactions were like this:

But what I saw were mostly winning announcements, so I posted: Yangzhou Half Marathon, the closest gold label event to my home, it seems like more people in my social circle won than didn't.

I was immediately bombarded by those who didn't win:

In fact, in 2018, there were 6651 exempted runners for the Yangzhou Half Marathon, including 521 hardcore runners, 200 charity runners, 586 honor runners, 2500 promise runners, 125 special runners, 1578 speed runners, and 1157 representatives from 76 universities under the 'Youth on the Road' program.

Excluding the above exempted runners, the organizing committee will draw 13349 participants from the remaining 35573 people, with a winning rate of 37.52%. After the lottery, the organizing committee will promptly notify the selected runners, who will officially become participants in the 2018 Yangzhou Half Marathon upon completing the registration fee payment within the specified time.

Then someone in the group didn't understand, what is a hardcore runner?

But soon someone stole my business, selling golden cudgels, making you a golden rod runner.
