yangling race log: how many noodles do you want? lets start with ten!

Regarding Yangling, I didn't know about this place before running the marathon.

The books you've read and the roads you've run, Yangling is named after the tomb of Emperor Wen of Sui, Yang Jian—Tailong. Yangling has a long history, being the ancient land of the Tai clan from the 21st to 16th centuries BC.

According to the 'Records of the Grand Historian: Annals of Zhou', over 4000 years ago, China's earliest agricultural official, Hou Ji, taught people farming and planting grains here, making Yangling one of the birthplaces of Chinese agriculture.

2018 marked my third consecutive year participating in the Yangling Marathon, a race themed around agriculture and ecology.

To me, Yangling is: very close to Xi'an, many friends in Xi'an, mutton to eat in Xi'an, 9° to drink in Xi'an, city walls in Xi'an, and a very large Northwest A&F University in Yangling!

In mid-April, the temperatures in Yangling are quite low in the mornings and nights. As a child from the south, I felt cold as soon as I got off the plane. Without exception, every marathon is a large meet-up for running friends. I was very lucky to participate this time as an official pacer, with a 6-hour cut-off time. On the tip of the tongue in Yangling. To boost popularity for the run on Saturday, it was said that only 50 yuan was sold on Friday. Sister Cao was still very ruthless and shamelessly asked Da Bing for two energy gels.

Dipping noodles, this is a magical thing. The first time I came to Yangling, two of us walked into a restaurant and saw tables of runners from all over the place eating noodles around water basins on the roadside. We sat down too. Someone asked: How many strands of noodles do you want?

Me: ???? (What? How many strands??? What kind of trick is this???)

Pretending to be calm: Ten strands per person, please~

Later, I finally understood in Yangling Agricultural Science City that some noodles are not like the instant noodles from Master Kong.

A little science for runners planning to go to Yangling next year: three strands of dipping noodles are enough.

Adequate sleep helps with the slow endurance of long-distance running.A good product comes from changing lifestyle habits.Data comes from the Garmin vivoactive3 (VA3).

Brother Thirteen from the Xi'an running circle, the people of the Northwest are indeed strong against the cold!

The 2018 Yangling Agricultural Science City International Marathon

is one of the nine major events of the Chinese Marathon Championship,

and also a designated event for 'I Want to Go to the Olympics'.

This year, it also included a national police marathon race within the race.

Athletes from provincial teams gathered, the sun gradually rose, and I realized I was overdressed!

The Yangling Marathon is always straightforward, with no speeches or addresses from leaders. As soon as the gun goes off, everyone dashes out like wild horses.

From the start to the last kilometer, I didn't dare take off my sunglasses. The PE110++ sunscreen continued to protect my face.

As the once largest event in Shaanxi, it has a rich local culture. On the road, I saw many friends I knew from the Xi'an Marathon, like this young lady, whom I asked during the Xi'an Marathon:

Young lady, did you come down from the plateau?

Young lady: This is blush.

My average heart rate was 134 throughout, but it rose to 168 when I entered Northwest A&F University. The enthusiastic cheers from the lovely junior sisters were overwhelming. Thank you for waiting for us till the end.

Next, let's talk about holding hands.

It's impossible not to hold hands while running a marathon. It's just not possible. PB can't be achieved; it's only running that can maintain the semblance of life. Running a marathon is like holding hands; the feeling of holding hands is much better than running!

Everyone in the running circle is talented and speaks well. I love running! Actually, when you gradually fall to the back in a marathon, you repeatedly comfort yourself to keep going. At this moment, a stranger's strength might be transmitted to you, and maybe in that instant, you feel you can run another kilometer. Although the 40Km timer was a bit misleading, we still finished within a 30-second error.

Treat the 42.195Km as a 6-hour endurance challenge, running step by step to the finish line. Marathons aren't that hard.

Next year, I'll be a lifetime runner of the Yangling Marathon~

Thumbs up to all runners for the 50+ races nationwide on April 15!
