Every evening, dozens of brisk walking teams start their 'brisk walking around the lake' journey here, accompanied by stirring music and marching in unison, creating a spectacular scene. Having Olympic champions lead the run is a major feature of the National Fitness Ten Thousand Miles Tour. Outstanding athletes have a broad social influence and appeal, serving as role models to promote national fitness activities. For the Xuzhou stop, two Olympic champions from Jiangsu were specially invited: Lu Chunlong, the men's trampoline champion at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and Xu Anqi, the women's epee team champion at the 2012 London Olympics. Their presence greatly boosted the atmosphere at the event. They also interacted with fitness enthusiasts, sharing scientific fitness concepts.
