On October 17, 2018, the 'Running China · Belt and Road' Haier · 2018 Qingdao Marathon press conference and sponsor awarding ceremony was held at the Shangri-La Hotel. Li Guoli first introduced the participation details of this event:After the processes of registration, confirmation, and lottery, the number of participants in the2018 Qingdao Marathon is as follows:Marathon8,000 people; Half Marathon 7,000 people; Health Run (5 kilometers) 10,000 people, totaling 25,000 people, including 205 people in the charity run, 294 participants from foreign countries and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan regions, representing 22 countries and regions; 30 elite athletes from 18 countries across five continents.Li Guoli also introduced the relevant features of this competition.

At the press conference, the Organizing Committee and Haier Group unveiled the new image of the Qingdao Marathon 'Running Ambassador'; at the same time, Haier Group, in conjunction with the Organizing Committee, established the 'Haier Special Challenge Award' to reward the first Chinese male and female finishers in the full marathon/half marathon categories, and invited the winning athletes to become 'Haier Smart Home Experience Officers' to jointly promote a better life.
