under his feet the ordinary road shines brightly

In 1973, he began painting;

In 2012, he joined the ranks of morning runners;

In 2013, a magical relationship developed between 'painting' and 'walking' under his feet.

@Yang Qian Walking PlanHis real name is Yang Qian, and he graduatedfrom Sichuan Fine Arts Institute,and lived and studied in the United States for 17 years.,He is an artist with an international cultural perspective and keen insight. For a long time, he has been committed to expanding and innovating artistic media and language, inventing various new forms of conceptual art. His series of paper scrap integration, network interaction, dynamic painting installations, and dual paintings have earned him widespread acclaim in the contemporary Chinese art scene. Walking painting is a new milestone in his artistic exploration.

What is walking painting? It isa new form of conceptual art that uses GPS positioning and imaging technology, can be disseminated through the internet, and has great potential.This can be considered a new artistic invention by Yang Qian, and he named it'walking painting' (Walking painting)..

In2012,@Yang Qian Walking Planjoined the ranks of morning exercises with friends and encouraged each other.Later, upon a friend's recommendation, he started using Codoonto record his exercise data.He truly began using it forcreationin 2013.Over the years, he hascreated hundreds of images..

"When I open the Codoon app,asI walk,the trajectorydraws images on the ground. I watch the lines on my phone screen as I walk, and then turn left, right, or go straight to get the image I want. When I don't need to leave a trail, I press the pause button, and when I want to draw again, I press thecontinuebuttontocontinue drawing."Thus, under his feet, images like musical scores, landscapes, flowers and birds, violins, candles, airplanes, and more were created.

Among all his works, the most challenging are human figures. "Not only do you need to master the functions of the Codoon app, but you also need a foundation in sketching, understanding proportions, and the ability to start drawing from any part of the human figure."In inaccessible political spaces, he would walk a complete circle around them, such as the Forbidden City; in developed cities with dense high-rises, he created landscapes; in disaster-stricken areas, he drew candlelight; in the fields of Arles, France, and the outskirts of Paris... Yang Qian's footprints and works can be found everywhere.

For his creations, Yang Qianinvested a lot of time and energy into exercising,which he callsexercising for the purpose of artistic creation.toexercise. Hedetermines his exercise volume based on the complexity of the drawing and the time spent, sometimes walkingup toten kilometersor more..

Codoongave him an entirely new way of creating, a significance far greater than merelycreating with 'feet'orcreating with 'hands'."The advent of Codoon not only provided the public with a better platform for exercise and communication,but also gavemethe technical support to draw on the ground, making my creations larger in scale and more original compared to hand-drawn works,linking this new art form to performance art, land art, painting, and video. Like the emergence of a new tool or medium, it will leave a more precious legacy in history."

As for walking painting,@Yang Qian Walking Plan has a small wish, which is to be able to create with hundreds or thousandsof students or people from various social strata on the ground,making everyone an artist and creating larger and more creative works..

When running is not just running, when life is adorned with the brilliance of art, the world becomes more colorful and beautiful, and thus'Life is not just about the immediate struggles, but also about poetry and distant fields'."Exercisegivesmebothphysical and mentalbenefits of immeasurable value and significance!It makesmehealthier,happier, and my art shines brighter!"
