wireless freedom jeet air plus
Since I started running marathons a few years ago, music has become an essential part of my runs. I've tried in-ear, over-ear, and bone conduction headphones—basically, any type I could get my hands on. However, the wires always detracted from the experience. When I saw the emergence of TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Bluetooth headphones like AirPods, I was intrigued, but the price of over 1000 yuan was a deterrent. This time, I noticed the release of the JEET Air Plus wireless sports headphones, which feature full-frequency Hi-Fi balanced armature drivers, 35-hour battery life, IPX5+ nano-coating waterproofing, and most importantly, a price of just 399 yuan. So, I decided to test them out in various sports modes!
The packaging design of the JEET Air Plus is very minimalist. The entire package is black, with the gold lettering 'JEET Air Plus' prominently displayed on the front, making it visually appealing.
The back of the packaging lists a series of product features and specifications. Notably, it mentions that this is a professional version with full-frequency Hi-Fi balanced armature drivers, a Qualcomm QCC3020 chip, and over 30 hours of battery life. It is a true wireless Bluetooth headphone that connects as soon as you open the case.
Upon opening the box, the charging case for the headphones is secured with a paper mold, showing attention to detail. Additionally, two pairs of silicone ear tips are included. The charging case has a futuristic design, offering 10 hours of battery life per charge, and can recharge the headphones 2.5 times, providing a total battery life of up to 35 hours.
Here's a 'family photo':
The headphones have undergone three mold revisions and 18 detail adjustments to better fit the human ear. Part of my motivation for purchasing these headphones was to support new domestic products.
As in-ear headphones, the JEET Air Plus adopts a waterdrop shape with smooth and full contours. Compared to the 'tail' design of AirPods, they are more compact. The cool black color, combined with the angular design, reflects a youthful personality and also provides anti-slip functionality.
According to the official announcement, each JEET Air Plus earbud weighs 5.9 grams, making them almost unnoticeable when worn. I conducted a practical test, as shown in the picture below. With a diameter of 15.4 millimeters, they are indeed very compact.
The JEET Air Plus headphones do not have physical buttons. By double-tapping the control panel on the headphones, you can activate the phone assistant/Siri. They are compatible with both Apple iOS and Android devices. However, you need to tap with some force; otherwise, they might not respond.
The sound tube of the JEET Air Plus adopts the popular angled design, making them fit more snugly in the ear and effectively preventing sound leakage. The noise isolation and anti-slip effects are quite good. The headphones are equipped with metal filters that are flat and well-adhered, with no noticeable glue overflow. The filters prevent dust and other impurities from entering the cavity, affecting sound quality and lifespan. Additionally, each earbud has three magnetic contact points for charging in the case.
The charging case of the JEET Air Plus has a smooth texture, with a well-polished exterior and a piano lacquer finish, making it sturdy, durable, and lightweight. It has an artistic feel. The only physical button on the device is on the charging case, used for pairing and resetting to factory settings.
The charging case uses a Type-C port, making it compatible with many smartphone charging cables.
The true wireless design of the headphones effectively solves the issue of wire damage due to repeated use and tangling, and it also reduces the 'stethoscope effect' during exercise.
Before use, you need to pair the headphones. Keep the charging case open, press the button on the case for about 2 seconds until the red, orange, and green lights flash alternately, and then you can find JEET Air Plus R (or JEET Air Plus L) in the Bluetooth list on your phone to pair. The advantage of the JEET Air Plus is that once connected to your phone, it will automatically pair with the last connected phone when you open the charging case.
For the sports test, I tried indoor cycling, running, battle ropes, and strength training. I used the silicone ear tips that came with the headphones and found them to fit perfectly. The ear tips are made of high-activity nano-silicone, which is very soft and elastic, with no pressure even after long periods of wear. The headphones remained secure even during intense head movements or jumping in running and cycling.
After testing indoors, I went for an outdoor run. In the current weather, I sweat a lot during exercise. My previous headphones had issues twice in a year due to sweat. The IPX5 and nano-coating waterproofing of the JEET Air Plus should handle this easily.
In terms of sound quality, the professional version of the JEET Air Plus uses full-frequency Hi-Fi balanced armature drivers, which perform exceptionally well in the mid and high ranges. I often listen to songs with strong beats, and the JEET Air Plus uses CVC noise reduction and ambient sound reduction technology, providing a very immersive experience. Especially when listening to vocals, it feels like being 'in the moment.' After breaking them in, the overall sound quality is quite good, making these headphones a great value. Additionally, you can adjust the EQ settings through the app, offering more customization options.
In conclusion, here's a summary of the JEET Air Plus:
1. The appearance is very tech-savvy, the material is high-end, and they don't easily fall out. The weight distribution is even, and after two weeks of wearing them, there's no sense of burden, making them suitable for daily office use.
2. Noise cancellation: Pressing the power button makes the world quiet, which is even more captivating than listening to music. Another benefit of noise cancellation is that calls are free from interference, which is great.
3. Sound quality: The immersive experience is strong, and for Bluetooth headphones to achieve this level is impressive.
4. Compatibility with phones: I use a Huawei phone, and the compatibility is excellent.
Overall, the JEET Air Plus has a high aesthetic value, good sound quality, long battery life, quick pairing, and a well-designed charging case. They are worth buying!
